Small Business Revolution Documentary

When the economy hit a massive recession in 2007 and 2008, jobs were lost, businesses tumbled and the government scrambled to keep the economy from cratering. With corporate jobs in short supply, where did people turn for jobs? They turned to the small business community.

Though there was no bailout for the small business community, what came out of the last great recession was an understanding that entrepreneurs and dreamers alike had to take control of their own fates by opening a small business. Today, according to the Small Business Administration, more than 28 million small businesses operate in the US with another million opening every month. Not all make it, in fact many fail, but it is the entrepreneurial spirit that drives commerce in this country. This fall, the Small Business Revolution will document what it takes to be a small business owner with our full-length documentary. This trailer gives a glimpse into the passion and dedication every small business leader has and what goes into defining such an important part of our culture.

Peppered with expert commentary from the likes of Robert Herjavec, celebrated entrepreneur and star of Shark Tank, Maria Contreras-Sweet, administrator of the Small Business Administration, Melinda Emerson, the Small Biz Lady and a dozen unique small businesses from across the country, this documentary will help define the spirit and drive small business owners share in their quest to capture a piece of the American Dream.
